- Minimum age to apply for a learners licence is 16 years.
- To obtain a learners licence you need to have passed a Drivers Knowledge Test (DKT) and eyesight test.
- DKT is a computer based road rules knowledge test. You have to answer 45 questions, and to pass you must get at least 41 correct.
- You can attempt the DKT at any RTA office, if you fail you can retry.
- Once you have passed the DKT, you will be issues with a Learner LIcence and a Learner driver logbook.
